Black raku tea bowl, pumpkin shaped(tanpyou) with irregular lip. Formed by coiling and cutting. The black glaze, containing stone dust and splashed with red covers the complete teabowl. A layer of half transparent ash glaze has been applied over the black glaze. It has produced a subtle random pattern. There are three stilt marks on the bottom of the foot and a slight tong mark. With its highly appreciated shape the bowl is considered for use in the summer and winter half year, for thin and thick tea as well (usucha/koicha). Purchase upon request.
