Black raku tea bowl, high cylinder(tzutzugata) with regular lip. Formed by coiling and cutting. The black glaze, containing stone dust, covers the tea bowl completely. There are conspicious tong marks on the walls of the bowl and three stilt marks on the foot ring. A layer of ash glaze has been applied over the black glaze producing a subtle whitish pattern on the front side(shomen). Suitable for the cold months of the year and for thin tea(usucha) only. Purchase upon request.
