Flat summer tea bowl (natsu chawan) with a trimmed base. Body brushed with white slip (hakeme). There is hardly any contrast between the light brown of the clay and the light color of the engobe. The chawan (tea bowl) is completely covered with a transparent glaze. The stilts left three marks on the bottom of the foot ring (kodai), when the bowl was taken out of the kiln. Suitable for summer temae and "thin" tea (usucha) only.
